Celebrate the 37th East Coast Truckers Convoy and Roadshow at Joyland Plaza this Bank Holiday Sunday!
This Bank Holiday Sunday, Joyland Plaza is thrilled to host the 37th annual East Coast Truckers Convoy and Roadshow—one of the region's most anticipated charity events of the year! This incredible event brings together a dedicated team of volunteer drivers who, for nearly four decades, have been making dreams come true for disabled and disadvantaged children across East Anglia.
The Convoy
The day kicks off with a spectacular convoy of around 80 trucks, accompanied by support vehicles and a full police escort. The convoy begins its journey at County Hall in Norwich and heads to Pleasurewood Hills, providing a memorable day out for children with special needs. After an afternoon of fun, the convoy returns through Great Yarmouth, making its way along the seafront, where thousands of spectators line the streets to cheer them on.
For the best view, be sure to head to Joyland Plaza. Arrive early, grab a spot, and prepare to be amazed by the sight and sound of over 100 vehicles, horns blaring, as they roll by. It's a heartwarming experience that brings smiles and waves from both the children and the crowd.
The Roadshow at Joyland Plaza
The fun doesn’t stop with the convoy! Joyland Plaza is hosting an all-day roadshow in collaboration with East Coast Truckers, featuring live entertainment, food, and activities for the whole family. Here's what you can expect:
Live Music: Enjoy performances from East Anglian Boy Leon Mallet, the local band Snooze Parrot with their rock and pop covers, and the crowd-favorite Lowrider playing rock and roll hits into the evening. There will also be a DJ to keep the energy high throughout the day.
Galactic Troopers: Star Wars fans are in for a treat! The Galactic Troopers will be making a special appearance in full cosplay to support the event. Don't miss the chance to meet and take photos with these iconic characters.
